The Good News Broadcasting Society, Secunderabad (Back to the Bible International’s national partner in India) has a  first-time offer by government-owned FM Radio Station to air Christian programming from Hyderabad, the capital city of Andhra Pradesh, India.

A new broadcast in English has been aired through FM Channel 101.9 MHz (A popular government-owned FM station in a city of nearly 7 million people).

In the past, only special, stand alone programs had been allowed on local radio (e.g. on Christmas and Easter days).   A 30-minutes Scripture-based program is now broadcasting once a week!  from Secunderabad on every Sunday  at 5.30 P.M to 6.00 P.M.

For more than 35 years, our broadcasts have been beamed into India from Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC).    Now, for the very first time, we can reach millions of people with the Gospel from within India on local FM radio outlet.

Our program will feature the reading of passages from the Bible interspersed with Christian music.  God’s Word will now have extraordinary visibility to millions who have little or no alternative contact with the Bible.

This may be only a starting point.  If God willing similar programming model will be used with good success in other major Indian cities—including the national capital Delhi.  As we present Scripture passages (and ultimately the Gospel) via radio in three major cities of Andhra Pradesh viz, Hyderabad, Vishakhapatnam and Vijayawada, we are hopeful that it will open up local radio markets in other cities as well.

You can make it happen:

You can extend your helping hand in spreading the gospel to the perishing souls by donating a  gift of $ 158, (Approximately INR  7,110/-) this  will cover all costs to air our Scripture based program for one day over a popular FM radio station in a major metro area of India,

Dr.Kroll with Co-host Tami

Your significant gift of $ 315 (Approximately INR  14,175/-) will enable us to reach a potential of 7 million people with two district half-hour programs per week.  Working together can lead to big results.  If each of only 200 people will extend a gift of $ 82, (Approximately INR  3,690/-) we can completely cover the cost of airing our Scripture-based programs in one Indian city for an entire year.

More than four-fifths of the population of the South Indian state of Andhra Pradesh speak Telugu.  Our innovative programs, made possible by your gifts and prayers, will enable us to reach thousands of these Telugu speakers in their own language.

Christian witness via radio plays a key role in reaching non-Christians clearly in need of the truth of God’s Word.  Your Gifts to the City Impact-India project will help us reach out to them with the life-changing powers of God’s Word.
